The Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) membership organization utilizing membership investment for operation of the Chamber office and its programs of work, for business advocacy, retention & recruitment, and for the promotion of the community. While the Georgetown Chamber’s purpose in business is to promote & advance the economic welfare of its members, its mission is also to expand the physical and social quality of life for members of the greater Georgetown area community.
The Georgetown Chamber and its all-volunteer leadership are conscious that for its membership to be successful, the community must be successful. Therefore, the Chamber’s slogan, “Linking Business with the Community” is always relevant in and applicable to its work. Advocates for chambers of commerce have long believed that when a company is active in its local chamber, it is dong the right thing not only for its own success, but also for the community, as well.
